The Counselling Process

I provide a non-judgemental and empathetic space, where thoughts and emotions can be considered freely in a confidential environment, where you can start the beginning of your path to understanding yourself and others.

Getting Started
The process starts with a free, informal chat to find out about you and what it is you would like to gain from counselling therapy – what worries and concerns you may have and how we can best work together to help you feel heard and understood. Therapy sessions are every week and last 50 minutes. Sessions can be face to face, on-line or via telephone.
How will it work?
Therapy can be short or long term. I work using an integrative approach based on both Person Centred and Psychodynamic theories which allows me to tailor the therapy to your personal and individual needs, these are regularly reviewed throughout the process in consultation with you.
If you are happy to work with me, I will help you understand yourself better and be there to support you through your challenges with empathy and compassion.

As we look at difficulties together, and you gain more understanding of yourself, over time, you will discover healthy ways to express your emotions, which can lead to improved relationships with others, better self-esteem, confidence in your own abilities and improvements in general wellbeing.
